The Willow Collective is a social enterprise that empowers individuals through creative workshops. Their SPF funding allowed them to purchase a new CNC machine, which offers participants opportunities to expand their community programs into entrepreneurship and sustainability work. Filming their case study was inspiring, as participants shared how learning new skills had boosted their confidence, creativity, and sense of belonging.
Prestatyn Festival Church is a welcoming community hub offering support and activities for people of all ages. With SPF funding, they renovated their roof, fixing a significant number of leaks, which had impacted their capacity to offer usual church activities. The Prestaytyn & Meliden Foodbank received SPF funding to buy a van, which enabled them to increase the number of deliveries to vulnerable people locally. Filming their case study highlighted the warmth and dedication of the church & foodbank teams, as well as the profound impact their work has had on the local community.
The 1st Llangollen Scout Group are a vibrant group that nurtures confidence, leadership, and teamwork in young people through outdoor adventures and skill-building activities. With their SPF funding award, they were able to purchase a new trailer for their kayaks, enabling staff to spend more time with the scouts, and less time on loading and unloading the equipment. Filming their case study was a delight, as the Scouts’ enthusiasm and the leaders’ dedication to shaping future generations shone through.
Calon Riding for the Disabled provides therapeutic riding experiences for people with physical and emotional challenges. Their SPF funding enabled them to purchase a new shed for storing new vaulting equipment, and also a new harrow. Filming their story was truly heart warming, as both riders and volunteers shared how the sessions have transformed lives, fostering independence and joy.
